How you found us
From Tim McCloskey who rode from Santa Cruz to San Jose, last year in 2004.

Why you want to do this ride
To do a small part in a larger effort to promote safe cycling. Plus it will be a great ride - long and somewhat challenging.
4. Tell us about your touring experience- if
little or none, indicate
many miles have you ridden over the last year:
Have gradually increased my endurance over the past 4 years by riding 1-2/x per week so that I could do the following rides: AIDS ride from SF to LA; The Unknown Coast Century includes 10K feet of climb; A Century in Pleasonton area. .
5. Tell us about your bike
Trek 2300 .
6. Describe your training regimen
1/x week, 50-60 miles and 3K feet of climbing.
7. How are you making time for this
By getting a babysitter for my daughter.
8. What are your fears about doing this ride
None. Maybe, not enough publicity for the event.
9. Do you have any special skills that you feel
would benefit the Mayors' Ride?
No. But I used to work for the City of San Jose and so some former colleagues will be attending the event at City Hall, which will spread awareness.

any personal contacts that you feel could help the National Bicycle
Greenway or the Mayors' Ride? If so, please list them here.

involved with other non-profit organizations, please tell us about them:
On the Board of Third Street Community Center in San Jose which provides academic assistance to low income youth who are struggling academically.

 | Greenway design and construction firms that specialize in bicycle trails will emerge as the Greenway program unfolds. Since some parts of the Greenway will be tastefully designed in a linear, park-like setting, service crews will maintain the landscaping, signage, rest areas and information kiosks that will border these important arterials. |
