1. Which Relay link do you want to ride?

Washington DC to Pittsburgh PA.

2. How you found us

Great_Allegheny_Passage@yahoogroups.com

3. Why you want to do this ride

Sounds like it will be fun and I need to log the miles.

4. Tell us about your touring experience- if little or none, indicate many miles have you ridden over the last year:

I have done the C&O canal self supported 3 times in 3 days over the past three years. I attempted to cross the USA but crashed on the 11th day (660 miles completed) and had to quit..

5. Tell us about your bike

Most likely I will be using a carbon fiber mountain bike (no suspension) that I built up with carbon fiber wheels, 1.9 slick fat tires and touring bars with barcons. Other components are mostly XT parts. Also racks and panniers.

6. Describe your training regimen

I ride as much as I can. Last year I rode 2,000+ miles (Thats an average year for me). Generally I end the season with a century. .

7. How are you making time for this

Taking time off from work.

8. What are your fears about doing this ride

Mud and rain.

9. Do you have any special skills that you feel would benefit the Mayors' Ride?

I'm a pretty good wrench. .

The Greenway network will utilize a network of abandoned rail lines and highways as well as active utility and aqueduct rights of way. It will ultimately be fed by other bicycle highways that stretch up and down both seaboards and crisscross America from east to west and north to south.
